Just last week, Nike introduced its 24.7 collection, a stylishly effortless range that includes pants, button-ups, skirts, and jumpers, seamlessly blending workout wear, athleisure, and smart casual attire, allowing you to transition smoothly from the gym to daily activities.

This launch features innovative technical materials combined with the brand’s renowned Dri-FIT technology, offering something unique that Nike has never done before. You can explore our detailed overview of the collection here.

The collection comprises numerous pieces, but I predict that the 24.7 PerfectStretch Woven Shirt will captivate everyone’s attention. It's likely the most adaptable item in the range, ideal for those seeking a capsule wardrobe.

This shirt is crafted from Nike’s new PerfectStretch fabric, a blend of four-way-stretch and their signature Dri-Fit technology. It's sleek, moisture-wicking, and tailored, making it suitable for all-day wear, regardless of the weather.

The fabric also includes a fantastic crinkle-free feature, ensuring that even if you repeatedly toss it into your gym bag, it won’t crease like your usual linens.

I was fortunate enough to acquire one of the 24.7 PerfectStretch Woven Shirts upon release and met with Nike stylist Jade Leung to discover various styling options for the button-up, beyond my usual open-shacket look.

“The collection perfectly combines that understated luxury vibe with a hint of sport and tailoring, which has been prominently featured on runways in recent seasons,” Jade explains.

“The 24.7 Perfect Stretch Woven shirt is an ideal travel companion — worn oversized and open with jeans on a flight, I can easily transition to a dinner or meeting by buttoning it up for a more refined appearance. The four-way stretch ensures it remains wrinkle-free during travel and is light and convenient to pack,” says Jade.

Here are a few styles we explored:

The open button-up

We begin with a simple open button-up style. You can practically throw on the Woven Shirt with nearly any outfit to add a sophisticated touch. My schedule runs from 5am to 9am as a Pilates instructor before my 9am to 5pm job, so I enjoy wearing it over a matching set to my classes to appear more polished in the studio before heading to meetings or working from home. I feel adequately dressed for both environments, and since the top barely wrinkles, I look more polished than if I had worn one of my linen button-ups.

Depending on your daily activities, you can pair it with slides or sneakers. Additionally, it looks incredibly stylish layered over baggy jeans and a crop top.

We love layers

As we move into more transitional weather, I predict the button-up/jumper combo will make a return. This look can be paired with bike shorts if it's warm, or with tailored pants if winter is in full swing. You can keep it with bike shorts when it’s warmer or switch to pants in cooler months.

I’ve actually utilized two pieces from the 24.7 range: the 24.7 Perfect Stretch Woven Shirt and the PerfectStretch Dri-FIT High-Waisted Loose Wide-Leg Trousers for a more laid-back corporate style.

The twist and tuck

All credit for this look goes to Jade’s expertise. She showed me the twist and tuck technique. I appreciate that it works with any bottom — jeans, shorts, skirts, tailored pants, cargo pants, you name it. It’s also incredibly easy to execute. Simply leave the shirt open, take one tail end, loosely twist it, and tuck it into the opposite side of your pants. Repeat on the other side, then tuck the back up into the back of your pants and pull it out slightly. You can watch a video of me styling it this way here.

  • Nike PerfectStretch Dri-FIT High-Waisted Loose Wide-Leg Trousers, $130

  • Your choice of jeans (I’ve opted for a baggier pair as I’m 24 weeks pregnant)

  • Your choice of footwear (I’ve chosen platform slides)

One button is all it takes

This is also a chic yet casual way to embrace an athleisure style while maintaining a polished appearance. Jade had me pair the tailored trousers with the white button-up, a Nike crop top, and sneakers. This ensemble feels like a Friday outfit I could wear to the PEDESTRIAN.TV office and then swap my sneakers for heels for a night out with friends. I love the edgy, boyfriend-fit style.

By fastening just the top button, you can still showcase your shape beneath all the loose clothing, adding a touch of femininity to an otherwise masculine look. The crop and sneakers also allow you to incorporate some color pops into the outfit. Nike recently released these two-toned sneakers that are incredibly stylish and would pair perfectly with this look.

As you can see, even a single piece from this collection is remarkably versatile. It’s an ideal addition to any capsule wardrobe. As Jade highlights, we desire multi-functional pieces that serve multiple purposes.

“As our lives become increasingly hectic, there is a genuine craving for simplicity, which is evident in the growing ‘Ath-life’ trend among Australians. This Nike collection is a perfect example of how to build a wardrobe that seamlessly transitions from morning classes to work meetings through polished fabrics and classic silhouettes,” says Jade.

Now, of course, this is only a selection from the new 24.7 range, and there's also a truly amazing pleated skirt that fashion enthusiasts will adore. “The pleats lend it a tailored feel, allowing it to be dressed up with leather lace-ups or down with a cozy Impossibly Soft Crewneck and your favorite Nike Sneakers,” says Jade.

If forced to choose a favorite, Jade says it’s a tie between the button-up and the tailored pants. “I love the drapes and fabric of the pants, offering a perfect blend of sport and tailoring. I also appreciate the hidden pockets, as I often carry random ribbons or safety pins on set. And the shirt in white is an essential wardrobe staple that I can easily throw on to look polished and composed,” says Jade.
