As anyone with a chocolate advent calendar is aware, Christmas is just a month away. Sadly for the Spotify Wrapped enthusiasts, there isn't an advent calendar for Spotify Wrapped day since no official date is confirmed.

The mischievous folks at Spotify enjoy keeping everyone guessing by not revealing the exact release date for Wrapped, making it an exciting surprise for users worldwide.

However, as we are analytical beings, examining past release dates for Spotify Wrapped reveals a discernible pattern.

• 2016 — Tuesday, December 6

• 2017 — Wednesday, December 6

• 2018 — Wednesday, December 5

• 2019 — Thursday, December 5

• 2020 — Wednesday, December 2

Clearly, Spotify Wrapped typically releases between late November and early December each year.

Contrary to popular belief, Spotify confirmed this year that it does not cease counting user streams after October 31 annually.

This revelation is disappointing for many who believed they could enjoy any music in November without it appearing on their Wrapped at year’s end.

Joke's on them—it does.

This isn’t a recent adjustment either; Spotify attempted to debunk this myth back in 2022 as well.

As for when Spotify truly halts the count, an official date has never been verified. However, it likely occurs in the weeks leading up to the early December/late November release.
